JJ Hunt

I am a Describer whether I’m working on a TV show or a movie, preparing to lead a tour, people watching downtown, or telling my friends a non-story about what happened last weekend. 


I’ve been working in film, television, art and live events for more than 15 years, and have completed well over 1500 projects for a variety of clients like AMItv, CBC Television, The Canadian Museum for Human Rights, The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, The Pan Am Games, The Andy Warhol Museum, Cooper-Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, the World Pride Parade, and the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.


While all of that work continues, these days I’m most excited about finding new applications for Audio Description. Can we describe the donut machine at a county fair? Why not! How about circus tricks at a hands-on workshop? Absolutely! And what about the all of the visuals of the world around us for a podcast with the intrepid Christine Malec? Well we’ll soon find out, now won’t we…
